Quality of Education
Expansion Management magazine publishes the annual Education Quotient (EQ) that compares 600 school districts around the country. The EQ provides "a first glance at the expected quality of a public school system" using seven education quality indicators:
- high school graduation rate
- average college board scores
- average teacher salaries
- money spent per pupil on instruction
- student-to-teacher ratio
- community's average level of education
- community's average income level
Scores range from 50 to 150 points with 100 being average.
