Awards
Awards are presented for Best Overall Male and Female and for Top Finishers for each Age group in Mountain and Open/Touring Classifications. Mountain Bike has tire width of 1.25" or more. Open/Touring has tire width of 1.24" or less.

Dinner & Safety Briefing
Dinner will be at Hall's Restaurant on 60th Street and Coastal Hwy. from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. A safety briefing will be held at 7:30. Registration packets will also be available.

Do I Qualify to Participate?
The Atlantic Coast Police Biathlon is open to all law enforcement and public safety officers including military personnel, corrections & probation officers, EMS, fire police & fire department members and judicial personnel.

Race Details

The Atlantic Coast Police Biathlon Championship on April 20, 2002 in Worcester County, Maryland is a challenging 20 mile bike ride, a 1 mile run, a 20 mile bike ride and a 1/2 mile run competition.

The first 20 mile leg starts in Berlin and travels to Snow Hill on the lightly traveled country roads with a 1 mile run that circles scenic park areas in the Snow Hill area. The final 20 mile bike ride travels back to Berlin with a 1/2 mile run finish.

At the finish line, there will be a bike toss, an awards ceremony and a post race party for participants and family members. Timing and race results will be certified by a professional sports timing organization.

The race is open to all law enforcement and public safety officers and is coordinated by the Worcester County Tourism Office, Worcester County Sheriff's Office and the Police Departments of Ocean City, Berlin, Snow Hill, Pocomoke City and Salisbury State University.

This fifth annual event is fun as well as competitive with numerous race categories for the elite athlete as well as the "weekend warrior." Awards will be made to the first overall male and female winners and the winners in each category. Many competitors have a chance to receive an award.

The racing fee is $35 per person with a deadline date of April 13 for the Fifth Annual Atlantic Coast Police Biathlon.
