Dunamis! Entrance into the Millennium, will be the theme for the 7th Annual African American Heritage Festival. The festival, celebrating African American culture, will be held on Sunday, September 12, 1999 at Stephen Decatur Park in Berlin, MD. Dunamis (pronounced doo-nah-miss) is a Greek word denoting raw power, creative energy, mighty works, mind-boggling miracles and warm togetherness.

Genealogy Research demonstration Festival goers will also enjoy crafts, food, entertainment and exhibits for the whole family. It is community supported and sponsored by the Worcester County Arts Council, Maryland State Arts Council and the African American Heritage Committee.
Art, jewelry, clothing, gifts & delicious food Enjoy soul and spiritual music performances throughout the day. Cultural craft vendors will display unique art, jewelry, clothing and gifts. The aroma of delicious ethnic foods will entice you. Stephen Decatur Park has picnicking, tennis courts, and a nature walk. Nearby Historic Berlin has a museum, antique shops, lodging and a quaint downtown area. The resort town of Ocean City and all that it offers is just seven miles away.
Admission and parking are free for the festival. . Directions: From Baltimore: Route 50 East to Route 113 South (Snow Hill exit). Approximately one mile to Stephen Decatur Park on right. From Norfolk: Route 13 to Pocomoke City. North on Route 113. Approximately 25 miles to Stephen Decatur Park on left.
