Learning with the flow on the wild, scenic Pocomoke
Millions flock to the white sandy beaches of Worcester County, Maryland but the picturesque river town of Pocomoke, just a 30-minute drive, is often overlooked. The Pocomoke River Learning Center will attract visitors to this beautiful area and provide an attraction that interprets the natural environment of the scenic Pocomoke River and its cypress swamps. The Center will exhibit the human history of the river as well. This "informal classroom" will provide an enjoyable learning environment for all visitors, including families with children and school groups. It will offer a gift shop with wares related to the center and a comfortable riverfront restaurant.
