It was thanks to my very good friend Eugene Bernshtam that I got into making money online and that is something that I will be forever grateful for. Eugene has been making money online for many years and runs 3 internet businesses which allow him to travel the world and to make money as he goes. When Eugene first embarked on this career I couldn’t believe what he was telling me and I couldn’t wait to start trying it out myself. Now I don’t have the skills or the ability that Eugene has but writing was always something that I felt I could do. Thanks to Eugene’s help and guidance, this is now my life and I absolutely love it. If you want to become a freelance writer then here are some tips on doing just that.

Hone Your Skills

You may think that you are a good writer but when it comes to writing content for online purposes you are going to need to be very flexible and very creative. Writing online content will mean that you may not always be writing about the things that you know about or enjoy writing about, which is why you have to get some practice in writing some things that you may not be used to.

Accuracy

Every article or piece of content that you provide has to be of a very high standard and most importantly it has to be grammatically correct and read well. To do this you should arm yourself with tools for the job such as a dictionary, a thesaurus and grammar checking software. Even if you don’t believe that you make mistakes or that you check well, using these tools will ensure that you can deliver the very best quality of work.

Finding Clients

I was very lucky that Eugene gave me my first break in terms of writing content and using those pieces which I’d written I was able to find additional clients. One of the best places to find work is on a freelancer website, where you pitch for jobs. My advice when starting out would be that you offer to do the work at a very low cost, that you provide plenty of examples of articles that you have written, and that you just keep applying until you get the gig. Beyond this you can directly contact website owners to see if they need any content written.

Delivery

In order to forge a name for yourself and to inspire confidence and trust from your clients, you should always ensure that you completely read and understand the brief, that you write and re-write until the piece is absolutely perfect, and finally that you ensure that you deliver the work as per the deadline that you have been given. Late or shoddy work is a guaranteed way to lose clients, and therefore lose money.

Practice, hustle and make sure that your content is original and high quality.
