Botox Treatments

In recent years the world’s attitudes to beauty and cosmetic treatments has changed a great deal, and this has resulted in more people than ever seeking to improve their appearance using some of these procedures. One of the most commonly used procedures in clinics and beauty parlors around the world is a botox treatment, which is incredibly simple and effective. In spite of these changing attitudes however there are still a large amount of people who have some trepidation when it comes to this kind of product, when there really is no need.

If you are interested in the effects of botox but you aren’t too confident about the treatment, let us explain just how simple this really is.

The Application of Botox

The first thing to remember is that any horror stories which you have read about botox are either false, or extraordinarily rare. A minute percentage of people have allergic reactions to this, and you are more at risk when you take paracetamol. Secondly the basics of this treatment are that you will have a very small amount of botox injected under the first layer of skin on your face. Trained professionals will never give you more than is required. The application itself is not painful, simply some small, slightly uncomfortable pricks around the face. The only aspect you have to check for is that the botox is in date, they will show you the bottle before administration.

Directly Afterwards

Once the botox treatment has been delivered you will feel no pain and no discomfort whatsoever. Your only instruction will be to make a serious of fascial expressions for 5 to 10 minutes, in order to ensure that the liquid under the skin is evenly spread out for best results.

Taking Time to Work

The results of botox are not instant, which is something that will be explained to you before administration. You will generally have to wait between 1 and 2 weeks before you see the full impact of the treatment. During this time there is nothing that you have to do, there are no foods or activities to avoid. All you have to do is be patient and look forward to the great results which come your way.

Proper Care and Duration

Over time the botox will be absorbed by the body and the effects will wear off, so don’t think that you are going to stay this way forever. As a general rule you will be told that this treatment, or at least its impacts, will last between 3 and 6 months. The best way to ensure the longevity of those results is to take great care of your skin with a daily routine. Additionally you should look to avoid practices which damage the skin, such as smoking, drinking and dehydrating yourself.

There is no need to worry at all about this kind of treatment, it is incredibly safe, low cost and the impacts give you a healthy and fresh look which you are going to love.
